Sr. Spacecraft Thermal Engineer (Top Secret Clearance Required)

Join Blue Origin as a Sr. Spacecraft Thermal Engineer. You will contribute to the definition and development of spacecraft thermal control systems within the In‑Space Systems business unit. Responsibilities

Drive the development of thermal systems, including architecture definition, modeling, component sizing, and design. Perform trade studies and hand calculations to screen concepts and validate finite element model results. Develop vehicle‑level thermal models using SINDA/FLUINT with Thermal Desktop. Perform steady‑state and transient thermal analysis of spacecraft thermal systems across all mission environments. Lead the development of thermal vacuum (TVAC) test procedures, scripts, and installation designs. Support thermal hardware design, documentation, procurement, and integration & test efforts. Support the development of thermal data analytics architecture (GitLab or similar). Minimum Qualifications

B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering. Solid understanding of thermal physics fundamentals. 10+ years of experience in the design, analysis, and testing of spacecraft thermal systems. Proficiency in Thermal Desktop and SINDA/FLUINT, including model validation and test correlation. U.S. citizen or national with a Top Secret security clearance. Experience in the design, analysis, and testing of spacecraft thermal systems. Preferred Qualifications

M.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering. Leadership in MLI blanket design, fabrication, procurement, and installation. Hands‑on experience with spacecraft thermal hardware installation processes. Programming skills (Python, C/C++). Experience in thermal vacuum test planning and execution; spacecraft/payload thermal analysis; space thermal hardware. Compensation

WA applicants: $140,959.00–$197,342.25. Benefits
