Job Summary Senior Director of Credit & Asset Management leads and manages a cross‑functional team of asset managers, underwriters, analysts, and credit administration professionals across commercial and residential real estate sectors. The role drives strategic guidance on asset modification, enforcement actions, equity strategies, and disposition of assets within private debt fund and institutional lender client frameworks.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of asset managers, underwriters, analysts, and credit administration professionals in the commercial and residential real estate sector, both performing and non‑performing.
Embed functional verticals within the client’s operating service model: origination advisory, asset management advisory, credit solutions, and loan management.
Foster a culture of collaboration, high performance, and accountability across senior asset management and advisory professionals.
Provide mentorship, training, and development opportunities to team members.
Provide value‑add strategic guidance on commercial real estate credit modifications, enforcement actions (deed‑in‑lieu, foreclosure, receiverships), equity strategies, and asset disposition in the context of private debt fund and non‑CMBS client business model.
Develop internal relationships and cross‑functional support across Trimont to optimize client experience with a solution‑oriented mindset.
Manage client expectations and overall relationships across different business lines.
Oversee the management, restructuring, and equity asset management of a diverse portfolio of real estate assets.
Develop and implement asset management strategies to maximize value and performance/recovery.
Monitor and report on asset performance, including financial analysis, market trends, and risk assessments.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models for asset management activities.
Conduct financial reviews to maintain proper margins.
Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, partners, and other key stakeholders.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on asset performance and strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; preferred focus on economics, finance, real estate, or related field.
12+ years of experience in finance and real estate.
18+ years leading a team with clear goals, mentorship, and performance reviews.
Proven track record in restructuring real estate assets.
Excellent financial analysis and modeling capabilities.
Proficiency in developing and implementing asset management strategies.
In‑depth knowledge of market trends and risk assessment.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance in the real estate sector.
Strong budgeting and forecasting skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in building and maintaining relationships with investors and partners.
Strategic thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
High level of proficiency with relevant software and tools used in asset management and financial modeling.
