VITALCARE MEDICAL PRACTICE
DENTIST (DMD, DDS)
The Dentist provides dental services and directs patient and clinical examination of admissions, as well as treatment of patients' needs.
Essential Functions
Perform and interpret radiographic examinations as indicated.
Provide dental treatment including emergency treatment, oral surgery, restorative dentistry, periodontal therapy within the scope of a general Dentist, including extractions.
Correct significant oral problems that may adversely affect inmate health as deemed necessary.
Make proper referrals for procedures that cannot be performed at the facility.
Report any unusual occurrences or accidents to the site or Regional Medical Director.
Attend training and meetings as required.
Minimum Requirements
Maintains current DEA number.
Currently licensed in the state.
Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking, understanding).
Supports teamwork and demonstrates teamwork concepts.
Able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Can deal tactfully with personnel, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
Possesses leadership and supervisory ability; able to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.
