Work Health Solutions The nurse practitioner (NP) uses clinical judgments in conducting health assessments, making differential diagnoses, and prescribing pharmacological and nonpharmacological treatments. Plans are implemented through independent action, health counseling, and collaboration with other members of the health team. The NP is responsible for clinical oversight and health center consultation regarding the administration of health care policy and procedure of the delivery of services as they pertain to their designated site/role. The NP promotes optimum health, prevents illness and injury, completes employer service exams, and manages work‑related injuries and illnesses at their assigned location(s). Essential Job Duties

Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and the instructions of physician oversight, including Department of Transportation (DOT) exams where required. Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ clinical problems and health care needs, including proficiency in reading x‑rays performed by onsite radiology technicians when applicable. Records physical findings and formulates a plan and prognosis based on the patient’s condition, providing written patient instructions. Collaborates with physicians and other health professionals to prepare a comprehensive patient care plan for work‑related injuries and illnesses and/or limited scope primary care in designated locations. Prescribes or recommends medications or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, acupuncture, or other related therapeutic procedures. Refers patients to an overseeing physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment. Performs clinical procedures as appropriate in a clinic setting under the direction of the Medical Director. These may include, but are not limited to, laceration repair, joint injections, wound care, and other procedures as directed. Maintains medical records using the designated electronic medical record (EMR). Educates and coaches clinical staff on best practices and assists center managers in facilitating program management. Other duties as assigned. Required Licenses and Certifications

Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) and NP in state of practice. Nationally certified as FNP, ANP, or AGNP by AANP or ANCC. Valid NPI. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Current DEA license to write prescriptions under the authority of the Medical Leader, if allowed within state of practice. Current DOT medical examiner certification. Education, Skills, and Qualifications

Master’s degree required. At least one year (three years preferred) of clinical experience as an NP in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice, urgent care, or emergency department setting. Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred. Ability to train ancillary support staff on clinical skills. Demonstrated problem‑solving and workflow management skills. Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records. Other Qualifications

Requirements as set forth in the specific contract for the site may include working flexible hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends. Travel for assignments and/or training may occasionally be required. Physical Demands

Regularly required to talk or hear. Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands and fingers to handle, or feel. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Salary

$75.00–$80.00/hr
