Required Qualifications

Licenses and Certifications: BASIC LIFE SUPPORT certification (AHA or ARC) and ARRT‑MR or ARMRIT by first day of employment

Preferred Qualifications

2 years of MRI experience

Job Duties

Review physician orders for accuracy and compatibility with MRI protocols; screen patients, verify contraindications, and document changes in the electronic health record.

Interview patients, obtain medical histories, explain procedures, and address questions regarding IV contrast and other exam requirements.

Perform MRI examinations accurately and efficiently, including administering contrast agents and monitoring patients for adverse reactions.

Ensure patient safety by verifying contraindications, assisting with positioning, and communicating test details to patients and families.

Conduct quality control testing, report system issues to the service engineer, physicist, and imaging leadership, and maintain data sets for clinical archives and research.

Respond to inquiries and maintain professional communication during shift hand‑offs and with on‑coming staff.

Provide orientation and training to new hires and students to ensure adherence to departmental standards.

Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient care and prioritize exams for efficient workflow.

Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory compliance, departmental goals, patient satisfaction targets, and financial responsibility regarding equipment and supplies.

Maintain patient confidentiality and secure all workstation processes.

Perform additional duties as assigned, including research‑related tasks with human subjects when applicable.
