Overview A leading specialty surgical hospital in Dallas is seeking an experienced
Nurse Manager of Surgical Services
to oversee perioperative operations across cardiovascular, spine, and hybrid OR environments. This facility offers advanced minimally invasive technology, high-volume spine care, and complex cardiovascular surgical capabilities.
The Nurse Manager provides leadership for multiple operating suites, sterile processing, anesthesia support, and perioperative staff. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical care while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Provide operational, clinical, and administrative leadership across Surgical Services (CVOR, spine ORs, hybrid suites, anesthesia techs, sterile processing).
Collaborate with perioperative leadership to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality patient care.
Maintain accountability for staff performance, workflow, resource utilization, and regulatory compliance.
Monitor and evaluate quality metrics; ensure alignment with current perioperative standards and guidelines.
Support supervisors and OR teams in daily operations, ensuring timely case flow and positive patient experiences.
Lead initiatives focused on performance improvement, patient satisfaction, and team engagement.
Oversee approximately
60 FTEs
and support weekly volumes of
30–40 spine cases
and
25 cardiovascular cases .
Qualifications Required:
Minimum
2+ years of Surgical Services leadership experience
(scrub or circulate).
BSN
required.
Current
RN license
(Texas or compact).
Current
BLS
certification.
Strong knowledge of perioperative operations, staffing, and financial oversight.
Preferred:
Master’s degree in Nursing or related field.
CNOR
(or ability to obtain within 1 year).
Experience supporting cardiovascular, spine, and hybrid OR environments.
Strong communication, organizational, and team leadership skills.
