Key Responsibilities

Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements (licensing, services, marketing).

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to laws (privacy, health, corporate) and develop compliance programs.

Corporate Governance: Advise on board matters, policies, and ethical conduct.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal risks across the organization.

Litigation: Manage disputes, overseeing external counsel as needed.

Transactional Support: Assist with M&A, due diligence, and other corporate transactions.

Intellectual Property: Handle IP matters such as patents, trademarks, and copyrights.

Business Counseling: Provide legal guidance to senior management and other departments.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

Education: Law degree (J.D.) and bar admission.

Experience: Background in business law, transactions, or specific industry.

Skills: Strong analytical, problem‑solving, negotiation, and communication (written/verbal).

Attributes: High ethical standards, good judgment, ability to handle ambiguity, proactive, business-mindful.

Role Context

Acts as an internal advisor, representing the organization, not individuals.

Supports strategic growth while protecting the company legally.

Often works closely with senior leadership, finance, and other departments.
