Position: Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech)
Location: Select Specialty Hospital San Diego
Schedule: Full-time
Compensation: $33/hr - $49/hr

Responsibilities
Prepare the patient for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and properly positioning them for the scans.
Operate equipment to produce cross‑sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue.
Complete necessary requisitions for ordered exams in a timely manner and schedule all exams accurately.
Perform diagnostic radiographic/fluoroscopic/CT exams on patients both in the department and with portable equipment.
Inject IV contrast media, as needed.
Perform a variety of examinations, reconstructions, and printing protocols.
Identify mechanical and electronic equipment failures to diagnose general problems with radiographic machines and processors.
Explain the procedure to the patient and answer questions about the equipment or procedure.
Move and transport patients to and from the department, as required.
Order necessary supplies and maintain par levels.
Attend required in‑services and orientations.
Work closely with floor staff and build positive relationships to facilitate excellent patient care.
Minimum Qualifications
At least two (2) years of experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist and a current state license (as required).
Must have ARRT or CMRT certification.
Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
Must be current with continuing education in all licensed fields.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating facility‑specific equipment desirable.
