The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai/Mount Sinai Hospital is seeking a Full Time Faculty Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist. The Icahn School of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry is a vibrant community of clinicians, researchers, educators, and trainees committed to discovering the causes of, and better treatments for, mental illness and substance use disorders. We are ranked #6 nationally in NIH funding, and listed as one of the top regional hospital departments by U.S. News & World Report. The Mount Sinai Behavioral Health service line encompasses the clinical psychiatric services at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, Mount Sinai Hospital, Mount Sinai St. Luke’s, Mount Sinai West and Mount Sinai Queens. The Department of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, a premier 1,171‑bed tertiary‑care facility internationally acclaimed for excellence in clinical care, education, and scientific research in the heart of NYC, has an opening for a full‑time Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist (CL). Responsibilities
The position primarily encompasses the provision of inpatient psychiatric consultative services for the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. The position also includes being the lead MD on our “Behavioral Health Team,” an inpatient proactive psychiatric consultative model designed to identify patients at the time of their admission to the surgical or medical services. Supervision of residents and fellows, as well as opportunities for formalized teaching and clinical research at the Mount Sinai Behavioral Health System are abundant. The position will include an academic appointment commensurate with experience. Qualifications
Qualified candidates should possess an MD or DO degree, be board certified/eligible in both General Adult Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine, and preferably have advanced training in Psychosomatic Medicine. Compensation ranges from 250K to 280K (not including bonuses or incentive compensation or benefits). Salary Disclosure Information:
