Job Description The Manager of Advanced Analytics & AI leads a team to implement the organization’s AI and analytics vision.

This role focuses on using AI, analytics, and automation to drive innovation, improve efficiency, and create business value.

It requires strategic thinking, technical skills, and leadership to build a strong team, align efforts with company goals, and promote collaboration and growth.

The key to this role is the ability to upskill existing team members, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to form a new, high‑impact advanced analytics and AI team.

The manager will collaborate across departments to identify, acquire, and structure the data needed to develop and refine AI models, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and aligned with business needs.

This role is on‑site in either our Holtsville, NY (Long Island) office or Mississauga, Ontario, Canada office five days a week.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

Develop and communicate a clear vision for the AI and advanced analytics team, aligning their goals with the organization’s overall business objectives and KPIs.

Collaborate with senior leadership to identify high‑impact areas where AI can drive business value and competitive advantage.

Define AI strategies and prioritize projects based on ROI, business needs, and innovation potential.

Proactively identify and address gaps in data and business processes to enable seamless and effective AI and advanced analytics implementations.

Team Management & Development

Lead, mentor, and inspire a technical team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and excellence.

Upskill and re‑align current team members as part of the formation of the team.

Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and create individualized development plans to grow technical and leadership skills within the team.

Recruit, onboard, and retain top analytics and AI talent to ensure the team remains agile, innovative, and effective.

Project Oversight

Oversee the end‑to‑end lifecycle of AI and advanced analytics projects, ensuring timely delivery, scalability, and alignment with business goals.

Serve as an escalation point for technical and operational challenges, facilitating resolution while maintaining project momentum.

Ensure cross‑functional collaboration between business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver cohesive solutions.

Governance & Compliance

Establish best practices, standards, and frameworks for AI development and deployment to ensure consistency and quality across projects.

Monitor ethical AI guidelines, security standards, and data privacy regulations throughout the AI solution lifecycle to ensure compliance where necessary.

Drive AI‑readiness by implementing change management processes, including training and communication plans to enhance AI adoption across the organization.

Innovation & Thought Leadership

Stay informed of advancements in AI technologies, tools, and methodologies, and assess their applicability to organizational needs.

Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging team members to explore emerging technologies and experiment with novel approaches.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s or advanced degree (Master’s/Ph.D.) in computer science, data science, artificial intelligence, or a related field.

Minimum 5+ years of hands‑on experience in advanced analytics, automation or AI development and implementation, with 2+ years in a leadership or management role.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong foundation in machine learning, deep learning, and AI frameworks, with the ability to provide technical guidance to team members.

Familiarity with tools and platforms such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Databricks, Google BigQuery, and cloud‑based AI services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).

Proficiency in Python (required); familiarity with R, Java, or other programming languages is a plus.

Understanding of MLOps practices and tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow) to ensure operational efficiency in AI pipelines. Strong knowledge of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.

Salary USD 136,100.00 – USD 204,100.00 Yearly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job‑related skills, knowledge, and experience.

Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs.

Some roles may also be eligible for long‑term incentive equity awards.
