We’re looking for people who are determined to make life better for people around the world.**Sr. Director, Customer Facing Capabilities** is a strategic leader focused on building commercial leadership and enhancing the capabilities of customer-facing teams through:* **Leadership & Coaching** for current and future commercial leaders.* **Training** in scientific knowledge, sales excellence, business acumen, and digital tools.* **Capability building** across field teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and coaching.* **Innovative, tech-enabled learning journeys** (Onboarding, IDP, CMAP) aligned with business goals.* **Strengthening business acumen and digital integration** via data analytics, AI, and strategic enablement.Customer Capabilities team, also supports **talent development** through rotational programs that build enterprise perspective, leadership skills, and long-term career growth.## Key Responsibilities:### **Leadership & Strategy**- Develop and implement a leadership development strategy aligned with IBU, commercial and HR teams.
- Champion a coaching culture that fosters psychological safety, emotional intelligence, and inclusive leadership to elevate performance and strengthen Team Lilly culture and leadership expectations.
- Collaborate with BUs, CMO, PRA, and medical leadership team to identify leadership capability gaps and future talent needs.
- Lead the design and execution of high-impact leadership/coaching programs/communities for all levels, from emerging to senior sales leaders.### Coaching & Capability Building- Build and scale coaching frameworks that support individual and team growth.
- Train and certify internal coaches; manage external coaching partnerships.
- Embed coaching practices into performance sales management, talent reviews, and succession planning.
- Promote feedback-rich environments and growth mindset across commercial teams.### **Training Curriculum Development**- Adapt and execute modular, scalable training Lilly curricula using blended learning approaches (workshops, e-learning, simulations).
- Ensure curricula are aligned with business KPIs and commercial excellence standards.
- Focus on scientific knowledge, sales skills, business acumen, and digital embedding.
- Partner with Marketing, PRA, Medical to ensure the right OB and CAMP execution among the customer facing teams.- Monitor training effectiveness through robust assessment and feedback mechanisms.### **Stakeholder Engagement & Change Leadership**- Partner with Medical, Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure training relevance and impact. (On boarding, IDP, Curriculum Map, Sales meetings)
- Influence senior leaders to adopt and champion development initiatives.
- Lead change management efforts to embed learning into daily operations and culture.## Required Capabilities & Skills:### **Leadership Development & Coaching Expertise**- Deep understanding of adult learning principles, coaching psychology, and leadership theory.
- Proven ability to design and deliver executive-level development programs.
- Strong facilitation skills and ability to engage diverse audiences.### Strategic Thinking & Business Acumen- Ability to translate business strategy into talent development priorities.
- Experience working with commercial team’s sales, marketing, and medical affairs.

- 5 or more years of experience in leadership roles, coaching, or L&D roles.
- Experience in commercial or customer-facing environments
