About the Role The
Marketing Coordinator
supports the execution of Aloha United Way’s integrated marketing, fundraising, and community campaigns. This position focuses on digital content, analytics, and day-to-day coordination to ensure brand consistency and operational efficiency. The Coordinator will work closely with the Marketing Manager and VP of Marketing & Communications to elevate AUW’s visibility, engagement, and storytelling across all platforms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Digital Marketing & Content Management
Maintain and update WordPress content on AUW.org and AUW211.org, including events, campaign pages, and news updates.
Support email marketing using AUW’s CRM (Dot Digital, Stratus Live or similar): build lists, format emails, schedule sends and monitor results.
Create simple digital graphics and assets aligned with brand guidelines.
Provide live event coverage (photos, videos, and short‑form content).
Other marketing communication duties as assigned.
Analytics & Reporting
Pull monthly metrics from Google Analytics, social media dashboards, and email platforms.
Prepare performance summaries, dashboards, and KPI reports for internal review.
Maintain digital asset libraries and analytics archives.
Campaign & Event Support
Coordinate materials, logistics, and follow‑up for special fundraising or community events.
Support cross‑departmental campaign requests (Resource Development, 211, Community Impact).
Manage internal calendars (editorial, social, and campaign timelines).
Support with vendor paperwork, invoices, and media scheduling as needed.
Brand Consistency & Storytelling
Collect, organize, and maintain a library of community stories, photos, quotes, and testimonials.
Ensure all content aligns with AUW brand voice, messaging, and visual guidelines.
Contribute to AUW’s broader storytelling efforts across digital, print, and video formats.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact, DotDigital, or comparable tools.
Comfortable with basic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Express.
Experience with Zoom, webinar hosting, or virtual event tools.
Experience with simple video or photo editing for social media content.
Marketing agency or nonprofit marketing experience preferred but not required.
Required Qualifications
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Must have a car to drive for the job and have driver’s insurance (only for Resource Development positions).
Must be able to pass a background and drug test.
Must be located in Hawaii or have pre‑existing plans to be in Hawaii.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or communications.
Past work experience as a marketing specialist, digital marketing specialist or similar role.
Understanding of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing.
Experience using and understanding data analytics metrics and other KPI’s.
Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Teams.
Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
Experience with email marketing tools like MailChimp, Constant Contact or comparable systems.
