Network Specialist
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer‑oriented Network Specialist to join our Air Force / Space team at Hill AFB. The primary function of the role is to support the United States Air Force’s 53rd Wing Technical Support Services (53rd WTSS) contract.
Responsibilities
Researching and developing solutions to issues that arise during daily operations.
Assisting with the development of new solutions to keep the network evolving and forward‑looking.
Providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for network testing and operations.
Managing the local network test environment, including routers, switches, firewalls, servers, CUCM, and VOIP phones.
Creating documentation and diagrams for all projects and network changes.
Maintaining servers related to network management in a Hyper‑V environment.
Working with datacenter network technology, including Nexus switches and vPC.
Maintaining and developing changes involving firewalls, routers, switches, TACLANES, SolarWinds, GEM One, and Hyper‑V.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university, or 2 additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
4+ years of direct or related experience.
Active / valid DoD 8570.01‑M IAT‑II or higher certification.
Working knowledge of CISCO network and switching and virtualization technologies.
Working knowledge of LAN, WAN, and data backup technologies.
Working knowledge of COMSEC policies and integration.
Working knowledge of RMF, Common Criteria, and System Security Policy as they relate to assessments and authorization.
Relevant experience with PL2 and PL3 network environments/systems.
Familiarity with DoD policy applicable to system and network administration.
Security Clearance
Current Top‑Secret Clearance.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI‑eligible clearance (DCID 6/4 eligibility).
Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
Willingness to submit to a Polygraph.
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Occasional movement around the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or communicate with co‑workers via email, phone, or virtual communication.
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
