The Opportunity Join our dynamic team as a Senior SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) and contribute to the successful implementation of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) practices within a large-scale government IT program. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, including AI/ML systems and enterprise integration, while ensuring secure and compliant solutions. Responsibilities

Facilitate and guide the work of Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and suppliers within the value stream.

Communicate with stakeholders, escalation impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement.

Manage and optimize the flow of value through the Solution Train.

Establish and communicate annual calendars for Iterations and Program Increments (PIs).

Ensure PI Planning readiness and execute a Continuous Exploration process to synthesize a Vision, a Roadmap, and Backlogs.

Facilitate PI planning events and summarize program PI objectives into Solution PI Objectives.

Track the execution of solution epics and capabilities.

Conduct periodic synchronization meetings, including value stream sync for Solution Trains.

Assist with economic decision‑making by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams.

Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean‑Agile practices and mindsets.

Help manage risks and dependencies.

Ensure collaboration between System and Solution Architects/Engineering – Work with Product and Solution Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to ensure strategy and execution alignment.

Improve the flow of value through value streams by improving and assessing DevOps and Release on Demand competencies.

Work with the Agile Program Management Office on program execution and operational excellence.

Understand and operate within Lean Budgets and ensure adherence to Guardrails.

Drive continuous improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops.

Qualifications Required:

Minimum of 5 years of experience with SAFe implementations.

SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification.

Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Desired

Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering).

Proven experience in agile program management at the solution level and above.

Strong understanding of systems engineering principles.

Experience with AI/ML systems and enterprise integration is a plus.

Demonstrated ability to scale Lean and Agile practices within large development programs.

Excellent communication and facilitation skills.

Experience with DevOps practices and tools.

Pay Range $103,800 - $218,100
