Overview We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in .NET, Cloud technologies, and Azure AI services to join our innovative team. This role is ideal for a seasoned engineer passionate about building scalable, cloud-first solutions and leveraging Generative AI to transform business processes. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining full stack applications hosted on both on-prem and cloud platforms, as well as collaborating with team of engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

Design and implement full-stack solutions using.NET, Azure, and modern cloud-native patterns.

Integrate Azure AI services (e.g., Azure OpenAI, AI Foundry) into enterprise applications.

Ensure application performance, security, and reliability; resolve complex technical challenges.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality features.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges.

Keep up with emerging technologies and best practices in Cloud, AI, and DevOps.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience designing and developing complex applications

Hands-on experience with Azure AI services (e.g. Azure Open AI, Azure Foundry)

Strong proficiency in C# .NET, API design, and development

Experience in Azure Cloud (e.g., Container Apps, API Management, App Gateway, Key Vault, App Services, Logic Apps, SQL MI)

Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Bicep, ARM, Terraform)

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Strong communication and leadership skills

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred

Experience working on agile teams and release trains, and knowledge of SAFe, is preferred

Experience in Angular and SQL is a plus

Property Casualty Insurance experience is a plus

The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint. Additional considerations include relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance, and business needs.

Pay Range USD $133,000.00 - USD $170,000.00 /Yr.
