The California State Lottery is looking to fill the exciting role of an Enterprise Architecture Manager. This position is headquartered at the Lottery Headquarters in Sacramento and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule. Travel to and from the assigned headquarters may be required at the employee's expense. Eligibility for telework requires residency in California per California Government Code Section 14200. Responsibilities/Job Description

Under the general direction of the Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) Enterprise Transformation, Innovation & Support (ETIS) Information Technology (IT) Manager II, the Enterprise Architecture Manager (EAM) is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the work of the Lottery’s Enterprise Architecture Office (EAO). The incumbent sets IT processes and standards; formulates long-range goals and objectives; manages ITSD strategic plans; develops and reviews process and technology implementation plans; and ensures conformance with organizational policies and objectives. Duties span Business Technology Management, IT Project Management, Information Security Engineering, Software, and System Engineering domains, with flexibility for work in other domains as needed. Work location and telework This position is headquartered at the Lottery Headquarters in Sacramento and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule. Employees must report to their assigned headquarters office as needed. Travel expenses to and from the headquarters are the employee’s responsibility. Schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with possible weekends, long or irregular hours, after-hours work, and holiday work as required. Travel: Statewide overnight travel may be required. Other: May be required to carry a Lottery-issued cell phone and be reachable outside normal hours. Desirable Qualifications

Certifications and expert knowledge of Enterprise Architecture, including EA Frameworks and BPMN; experience deploying architecture solutions. Strong leadership to engage, inspire, develop, and mentor staff. Effective time management and prioritization skills for competing work. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with adaptability to changing priorities. Experience developing future state architectures, roadmaps, and innovative solutions; centralizing enterprise services, data, and technology assets. Experience across domains such as Business Technology Management, Enterprise Business Analysis, Information Security Engineering, IT Project Management, Software and System Engineering. IT strategic planning, policy, and governance knowledge. Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to audiences of various sizes. Supervisory and management principles to oversee subordinate staff effectively. Experience developing complex analyses and procedures, standards, and guidelines.
