Electrical Superintendent
We are seeking a Lead Electrical Superintendent with exceptional computer skills and experience in Data Centers. The role requires familiarity with switchgears and UPS systems as they relate to Data Centers. The successful candidate will manage projects located in Mississippi and Chicago, with the expectation of traveling between these locations.
Responsibilities
Thoroughly understand the project schedule and overall scope.
Assist in maintaining the project schedule daily through Touch plan.
Collaborate with the Project Scheduler to develop progress schedules, such as the two-week look-ahead schedule, alongside the Project Manager.
Prepare and distribute daily logs using Procore.
Coordinate and schedule necessary inspections.
Prepare agendas for regular construction meetings.
Enforce site safety, security, and visitor access protocols.
Ensure quality and workmanship of finished products.
Develop and maintain a Site Utilization Plan.
Maintain an up-to-date phone log.
Prepare pre-punch list items.
Work with the Project Site Engineer to load all pertinent project information on Procore.
Provide site safety training and enforce safety compliance on the project site.
Conduct weekly tool talks.
Secure any hot work permits required for the project.
Essential Skills
Experience with Data Centers.
Proven ability to lead teams.
Strong computer skills, particularly in electrical construction.
Experience in project management.
Troubleshooting skills.
Experience in commercial construction.
Proficiency with Procore.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
Mechanical understanding.
Substation expertise.
Blueprint reading skills.
Subcontractor management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Electrical background preferred.
Experience as a site supervisor or in a management role.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret schedules.
Data center background beneficial but not required.
Willingness to travel is helpful.
Strong safety attitude.
Approximately 5 years of relevant experience.
Work Environment This position is on-site in Chicago and Mississippi, with travel between these locations expected. Benefits include a 401k plan, two weeks of PTO, dental, vision, and medical coverage, a $60 cell phone reimbursement, and ten paid holidays. Travel expenses, including hotel accommodations, will be provided. This role may transition to a permanent position based on company needs and performance.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of FAIRFAX, VA.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $130000.00/hr.
