Job Description We are seeking a detail‑oriented Knowledge Management Specialist to lead the development, implementation, and optimization of knowledge‑sharing systems and practices across the organization. This role is critical to ensuring that institutional knowledge is captured, organized, and leveraged to enhance operational efficiency, employee onboarding, and decision‑making.
Design and execute knowledge management frameworks aligned with organizational goals.
Establish governance models for content creation, review, and lifecycle management.
Administer and optimize knowledge platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Shared Drives, intranet portals).
Collaborate with external vendors to ensure seamless integration of knowledge management tools.
Curate, organize, and maintain high‑quality, searchable knowledge assets.
Develop taxonomies, metadata standards, and tagging protocols to improve discoverability.
Monitor usage metrics and user feedback to continuously improve the knowledge management system.
Strong attention to detail.
Education/Experience Requirements
3‑5 years’ experience in knowledge management, content strategy, or information architecture.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required.
Proficiency in SharePoint required.
Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
Familiarity with change management and adult learning principles is a plus.
Works effectively with all levels of the organization — both independently and in teams.
Active Security Clearance preferred.
Hybrid 3 days/week in Washington, D.C.
