Atlas Cloud
The Recruiter partners with the Chief People Officer and leadership team to build and scale Atlas Cloud AI's talent acquisition function from the ground up. This role is critical to delivering top-tier technical and business talent to support our rapid growth as an AI infrastructure platform serving enterprise clients. You'll have the opportunity to build and scale the recruiting function while managing full-cycle recruitment.
Responsibilities:
Own full-cycle recruitment for technical roles (AI/ML engineers, cloud architects, data center operations) and business roles (sales, marketing, operations)
Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements, qualifications, and success criteria for highly specialized positions in AI infrastructure and data center operations
Design and implement scalable recruiting processes, systems, and best practices for a fast-growing startup environment
Source passive candidates through LinkedIn, technical communities, industry networks, and creative outreach strategies
Manage candidate experience from initial contact through offer acceptance, ensuring a best-in-class process
Coordinate background checks, reference checks, and onboarding logistics
Build and maintain talent pipelines for hard-to-fill technical positions
Track recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, source of hire, candidate quality, offer acceptance rate) and provide regular reporting
HR Support & Compliance
Ensure recruiting practices comply with employment laws and regulations
Support new hire orientation and onboarding in partnership with the CPO
Maintain applicant tracking systems and recruiting documentation in BambooHR
Stakeholder Management
Build strong partnerships with hiring managers and leadership across the organization
Manage expectations around hiring timelines, candidate quality, and market realities for competitive tech roles
Provide market intelligence on compensation trends, talent availability, and recruiting strategies in AI/tech sectors
Required Skills and/or Experience
3-5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in tech, SaaS, or startup environments
Proven success recruiting for technical roles (engineering, data science, cloud infrastructure) and understanding how to assess technical talent
Experience building recruiting processes and systems from scratch in high-growth environments
Familiarity with behavioral assessment tools (Culture Index experience a plus)
Strong proficiency with applicant tracking systems (BambooHR preferred) and LinkedIn Recruiter
Excellent sourcing skills and creative approaches to finding passive candidates
Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced startup environments with limited resources
Strong communication skills and ability to partner effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and business needs
Diplomacy and discretion in handling confidential information
Required Education and/or Credentials
Bachelor's degree plus 3-5 years of recruiting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Tech startup or AI/cloud infrastructure industry experience strongly preferred
Location San Francisco Bay Area or New York City
