A long-standing, family-oriented organization in the forestry and industrial products sector is seeking an Assistant CFO who will work closely with the current CFO for 1–2 years before transitioning into the full CFO role upon upcoming retirements. About the Role- The Assistant CFO will oversee the Accounting, HR, and Customer Service departments along with their supervisors. This individual will serve as a key member of the management team, partnering closely with leadership to support all operational and strategic decisions.
Essential Job Functions
Partner with management on all aspects of the business and participate in high-level planning and decision‑making.
Oversee Accounting, HR, and Customer Service functions, ensuring department efficiency and accuracy.
Administer all employee benefits, including medical and retirement plans.
Manage key administrative areas such as budgets, audits, cash flow, month‑end close, and inventory processes.
Provide leadership, stability, and guidance to department supervisors and staff.
Prepare to assume full CFO responsibilities within 1–2 years.
Industrious and reliable, with a hands‑on approach.
Thrives in a warehouse or industrial environment; outdoorsy or familiar with forestry products is a plus.
Calm, rational, people‑centered personality with genuine care for employees.

Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of accounting experience
Supervisory/management experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated job stability throughout career
Public accounting experience preferred
CPA preferred
