Diners can mix and match dishes from any Wonder restaurant, order neighborhood gems nearby, or pick brick‑and‑mortar options across the East Coast. We’re expanding rapidly, delivering food fast and free, and building a community of culinary, tech, and logistics pioneers.
About The Role As a Senior Operations Leader, you’ll be the business leader of a Wonder location overseeing a shared kitchen that serves multiple brands, channels, and delivery methods. You’ll lead a multifunctional team, manage cross‑brand collaboration in a single facility, and own the local P&L like a true General Manager.
Responsibilities Lead Day‑to‑Day Operations with Excellence
Oversee all aspects of day‑to‑day operations across kitchen, service, and fulfillment channels (dine‑in, pickup, delivery)
Optimize labor deployment, throughput, and service execution to meet evolving business needs
Ensure strict adherence to labor, food safety, team member safety, and compliance standards
Monitor inventory accuracy, waste reduction, and product shelf life adherence
Forecast demand, resolve obstacles, and adjust workflows in real time to maintain readiness
Analyze customer feedback and operational trends to make data‑informed decisions that drive service excellence
Set and drive key operational KPIs, aligning internal and external contributors
Manage Team and Partner Performance
Hire, onboard, coach, schedule, and develop a high‑performing team of hourly employees and shift leaders
Lead a blended on‑site workforce of internal employees and external partners (contracted or brand‑affiliated staff)
Create a collaborative, on‑brand environment where Wonder and third‑party teams operate seamlessly under one roof
Address performance issues using coaching and performance tools
Ensure compliance with state and federal labor laws
Drive Business Results & Own the P&L
Take full ownership of the location’s P&L and use data to influence labor efficiency, food costs, and operational margin
Establish and track KPIs related to guest experience, order accuracy, throughput, and financial performance
Partner cross‑functionally (finance, culinary, procurement, logistics, etc.) to identify cost‑saving and revenue‑driving opportunities
Build action plans around local performance insights, customer feedback, and operational trends
Grow the Business
Own and drive company talent pipelines with a focus on succession building and readiness
Select, develop, and deploy certified trainers for new store openings and onboarding
Mentor managers‑in‑training to prepare them for leadership roles at other locations
Serve as a hands‑on role model, reinforcing values and performance standards for growth
Anticipate future business needs and align staffing, scheduling, and development to prepare for growth
Contribute to company innovation by sharing feedback, piloting initiatives, and championing best practices for rollout
Manage Partnerships & Represent the Wonder Brand
Serve as the on‑site point of contact for brand partners, vendors, and contracted operators
Nurture relationships with local stakeholders to foster trust, partnership, and operational consistency
Ensure each brand adheres to Wonder’s service and food quality standards for flawless customer experience
Represent Wonder in local community and business interactions, helping grow reputation and customer base
Who You Are
Business operator with at least 3 years of experience leading high‑volume, complex operations in logistics, field‑based retail, hospitality, food, or eCommerce
Experience in fast‑growing, operationally complex environments such as high‑growth startups, multi‑unit retail, or on‑demand services
Proven leadership background and track record of progressive growth and advancement
Demonstrated success in full P&L ownership, KPI management, and driving operational results
Proactive problem solver thriving in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments
Comfortable managing hybrid workforces across employees and contracted vendors/partners
Cross‑functional fluency—able to influence across finance, HR, logistics, culinary, and partner organizations
Obsessed with customer service, quality, accountability, and results
Requirements
Must be 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the US
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
Must have open availability, including nights and weekends
Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain)
