Role: Product Owner
Description of work to be performed: Actively works with the business owner(s) to prioritize the product backlog and leads detailed planning and executing on product roadmap
Specified productivity speed/number of tasks/amount of material: This program spans multiple workstreams, including cloud architecture, API modernization, ETL redesign, and observability. These systems power advisor communications and transaction transparency—reducing costly inbound calls and enhancing client experience.
Time frame for completion: 12 months w2
Overview The AWS migration for Real-Time Transactions (RTT) and Notifications is a high-impact initiative critical to modernizing our technology stack.
Current Challenges Migration efforts are currently constrained by team capacity and amber status on key tasks. Without a dedicated Product Owner, prioritization, dependency management, and roadmap alignment remain at risk—potentially leading to delays and technical debt.
Role Responsibilities As the Product Owner, you will:
Own the migration roadmap and ensure backlog prioritization aligns with business objectives.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage dependencies, and proactively mitigate risks.
Drive timely delivery of AWS migration milestones and notification enhancements to improve system reliability and client experience.

Participates in all related meetings including daily SCRUM calls and provides direction and feedback based on direction and input from business owner
Translates business vision and high level User Narratives into detailed User Stories for UX and Dev teams
Works with business owners to clarify requirements
Raises requirement issues / risks to product manager for resolution
Brings decisions to be made to Business Leaders outside of review meetings.
Is available to the team to provide guidance and feedback
Documents Use Cases and Process Flows as needed to frame solution for UX and Dev teams
Coordinate with other stakeholders as needed and represents stakeholders vision & requirements to the technology team (overriding design decisions, inclusion in cross-functional processes, etc.)
Works with business owner to define and document product acceptance criteria

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
