Branch Manager – Traffic Control

Position Summary The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of branch crews and equipment, ensuring seamless job execution and training to support customer needs. This role directs overall branch operations—including safety, staffing, fiscal management, and compliance—while balancing corporate priorities with local resource availability. The position requires direct involvement in traffic control and field operations and is ideal for a hands‑on operational leader who thrives in a dynamic, high‑demand environment.
Essential Functions
Oversee branch production, budgeting, and financial performance.
Manage shop activities, customer relations, and job site operations.
Coordinate with estimating teams on capacity planning and critical path issues.
Work with accounting teams on revenue recognition, forecasting, and reporting.
Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.

Required Knowledge & Skills
Deep understanding of state regulations for traffic control devices and materials.
Active involvement in industry associations, coalitions, and state DOT collaborations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word; Viewpoint software experience preferred.
Strong financial literacy, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
Education & Experience
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred: Minimum 10 years of experience in traffic control and safety, including direct crew work and formal industry training.
Preferred: Minimum 10 years of supervisory or management experience.
