Business Continuity Consultant - Assistant Vice President
We’re hiring for the Assistant Vice President, Business Continuity role. In this role, you’ll assist in leading the design, execution, and continuous improvement of our Business Continuity Management (BCM) program. Collaborating closely with senior leadership, risk functions, and regulators, you’ll ensure our organization is prepared for, resilient to, and compliant with disruptions ranging from operational incidents to industry-wide crises.
You’ll be the driving force behind strengthening our BCM governance, refining policies and procedures, and leading testing exercises that validate our readiness. Your expertise will help shape strategic risk mitigation efforts and foster a culture of resilience across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
Lead enterprise-wide BCM governance, including structuring policies, procedures, and standards
Coordinate and update Business Impact Analyses (BIA), Risk Assessments (RA), and Business Continuity Plans (BCP)
Oversee and execute testing exercises for disaster recovery, pandemic response, and crisis management
Prepare reports and presentations for risk committees and regulators, ensuring clear communication of findings
Act as a subject matter expert on BCM, liaising with regulators like OCC and Fed to demonstrate compliance and mitigate direct regulatory exposure
Collaborate with IT, Security, and Ops teams to coordinate incident response and crisis management efforts
Develop and deliver training programs that strengthen organizational awareness and preparedness
Monitor evolving industry best practices and regulatory requirements to keep the BCM program current and effective
This is a hands‑on leadership role where your strategic insights and operational expertise will directly enhance the organization’s ability to withstand and recover from disruptions.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Business Continuity, Risk Management, or related fields within financial services
Deep knowledge of BCM frameworks, regulator expectations, and testing methodologies
Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and regulators
