Tenure-Track Faculty: Assistant Professor in Finance
Position start date: September 1, 2026. Hiring contingent upon final budget approval by the University.
Description The Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Finance at the rank of Assistant Professor. Finance is a strategically important discipline within the school that has grown considerably in both research productivity and course offerings in recent years. We seek faculty with strong research and publication potential in all areas of finance.
Location Rose Hill and Lincoln Center Campuses
Salary Range $190,000 to $250,000 (base salary based on qualifications). Fordham University provides summer support and other research support based on qualifications and productivity.
Deadline February 28, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time
Qualifications Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Finance, Economics, or a directly related field, or will earn the degree within one semester from the start of the appointment. Seasoned candidates may apply as well. The selected candidate is expected to have a strong commitment to high-quality research, to teach undergraduate, graduate, and/or Ph.D. level courses, and to advise and mentor Ph.D. students.
Responsibilities
Engage in excellent research and publication.
Teach undergraduate, graduate, and/or Ph.D. courses in finance.
Advise and mentor Ph.D. students.
Participate in service obligations as required by the university.
