Our restaurant ALBA Bar & Cafe is open daily for breakfast, and small bites in the evening at the Bar. We also have (3) private rooms for banquets & catered events.

Description The Food & Beverage Supervisor is a senior front‑of‑house team member who works closely with the Restaurant Manager to ensure outstanding guest service, smooth daily operations, and high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and efficiency. You’ll lead by example, support and train servers, and help maintain the restaurant’s ambience, reputation, and profitability. You will report to the Restaurant Manager. This is a Full‑time position; please expect some weekend, holiday, and evening shifts.
Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly; ensure menus, specials, and wine/food knowledge are up to date.
Monitor flow of service: take accurate orders, ensure timely delivery of food and drinks, check guest satisfaction, and handle guest issues or complaints with tact.
Prepare tables with settings, clear finished plates, calculate bills, accept and process payments.
Mentor and train junior servers on standards of service, menu items, safety, and cleanliness.
Assign sections, side work, and monitor performance to ensure consistency.
Serve as a liaison between servers and kitchen/bar to ensure orders are accurate and timely; assist in expediting food during rush hours, ensuring quality and presentation standards.
Enforce hygiene, food safety, dress code, and personal appearance policies for the team.
Ensure dining areas are clean, organized, and properly set up for service (table settings, décor, ambiance).
Assist in overseeing the dining area, stepping into managerial duties when the Manager is off‑duty or occupied.
Help set up and oversee special events, group bookings, or banquets, ensuring service and food quality meet guest expectations.
Provide flexibility to fill in gaps or take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Lead by example; maintain a positive attitude.
Stay attentive and detail‑oriented with a focus on guest satisfaction.
Handle high‑pressure, fast‑paced environments effectively.
Demonstrate strong teamwork and problem‑solving mindset.
Requirements
Prior experience as a server in a restaurant, ideally with some leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills; ability to multitask especially during busy service periods.
Solid knowledge of food & beverage service standards and health/safety regulations.
Reliability, punctuality, professional demeanor.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Basic math skills; familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time, walk, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or telephone. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10‑25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
