Overview
Volt is immediately hiring an
RF Engineer
at
Alpharetta, GA . This is a 12‑month full‑time contract or contract‑to‑hire opportunity.
Responsibilities
Comprehensive knowledge of electrical engineering low frequency and high frequency (RF) analog and digital circuit design.
Experience with RF systems, ideally GPS receivers.
Contribute to innovative electrical engineering solutions consistent with business development plans.
Develop circuit designs, requirements, design descriptions, verification plans/procedures, and customer CDRLs to meet program schedules.
Support cross‑functional teams for conflict resolution, root‑cause analysis, architecture developments, and design.
Contribute to algorithm development, analysis, implementation, system architecture, verification, and test with emphasis on military GPS electronics.
Execute design, build, integration and test activities; problem resolution; verify deliverables meet all program and customer requirements.
Provide project management reports and support senior‑level and customer reviews.
Review the engineering technical baseline as part of proposal efforts.
Interface with program leadership and other teams (SW, Systems, ME, Test) on a frequent basis; conduct or participate in customer and/or program technical review presentations and provide progress status updates on work products.
Participate or lead in the product development process, including design reviews.
Qualifications
Mastery level knowledge within a specific technical area or multiple job areas; viewed as an expert or resource within the field. Bachelor’s degree and minimum 9 years relevant experience. Graduate degree and minimum 7 years relevant experience. Alternatively, in lieu of a degree, minimum 13 years experience.
Minimum 5 years experience capturing schematics design and PCBA layout using modern EE CAD (Altium or Mentor Graphics).
Minimum 5 years experience with receiver, antenna, or radio design (RF).
Experience with embedded hardware design.
Able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with GPS module design and topology.
Understanding of advanced high‑speed analog design methodologies.
Experience with MS Office, Simulink/Matlab, P‑Spice, Agilent ADS (or AWR), and Ansys HFSS.
Experience with DO‑254 design.
Experience with product design team leadership, strong verbal and written skills, and ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Pay Range $60 - $66 per hour. Pay range will be based on education, experience, location, specific duties, certifications, etc.
