Job Description The Director of Product Management for Visa’s Advanced Decisioning Platform will lead, inspire, and motivate a team of Product Managers to develop next‑generation shared services for risk and identity products. The role requires extensive stakeholder engagement, strategic and capacity planning, product design, delivery, implementation, and line‑of‑product performance management. The ideal candidate has deep experience in payments, risk, identity, and product management, with a proven record of commercializing and scaling platform products.

Platform Strategy & Vision

Develop and execute platform strategy to evolve Visa’s Advanced Decisioning Platform into a comprehensive shared services ecosystem.

Drive the product roadmap aligned with broader integrated risk platform objectives.

Enable new use cases and accelerate revenue opportunities through platform extensibility.

Technical Platform Leadership

Manage a technical, API‑driven product platform in a complex, distributed environment.

Communicate business requirements, features, and user stories effectively with engineering teams.

Champion platform‑first architecture principles including microservices, API design, and integration patterns.

Ensure simplified onboarding, automation, and self‑service capabilities to scale efficiently.

Establish and monitor KPIs supporting product adoption, growth, and performance.

AI & Data‑Driven Product Management

Leverage AI/ML capabilities to enhance decisioning platform intelligence and automation.

Integrate generative AI tools into product development workflows for rapid prototyping and user research.

Utilize AI‑powered analytics for product performance monitoring, customer insights, and predictive road‑mapping.

Apply responsible AI principles ensuring transparency, fairness, and explainability in decisioning outcomes.

Stay current with emerging AI technologies and assess applicability to platform evolution.

This is a hybrid position. Expected days in office will be confirmed by the Hiring Manager.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications

10+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 8+ years with an advanced degree (Master’s, MBA, JD, MD), or 3+ years with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications

12+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 8–10 years with an advanced degree, or 6–10 years with a PhD.

10+ years’ product management experience, preferably in payment technology or risk and fraud management software.

Proven track record of building strong relationships and influencing across organizational boundaries in complex environments.

Demonstrated leadership with ethical standards and high performance.

Experience communicating effectively, inspiring teams, and delivering executive messaging.

History of making informed decisions quickly and confidently in fast‑paced settings.

Ability to balance business, technical, and people skills to drive successful outcomes.

Experience fostering innovation, creativity, and growth within teams.

Background collaborating with diverse groups to achieve shared goals.

Accountability for actions and commitments in prior positions.

Deep commitment to the financial services industry and track record of driving success, ideally within Visa or similar environments.

Proficient skills in AI prompting and creator tools such as Figma and AI‑driven prototyping platforms.

Additional Information Work Hours Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements This position requires 5–10% travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements Job performed in an office setting. Must sit, stand, communicate in person and by telephone, and frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

Compensation and Benefits U.S. applicants only: The estimated salary range for a new hire is $186,800 to $271,100 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary based on factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
