Director, Merchandising Technology Engineering
We’re looking for a dynamic technology leader to drive enterprise-level transformation across our merchandising systems. In this role, you’ll lead the design, implementation, and optimization of platforms that power our omnichannel retail experience across stores, e-commerce, and supply chain. You’ll work at the intersection of technology, merchandising strategy, and operational excellence to deliver innovative solutions at scale.
Responsibilities
Shape Strategy:
Define and execute the roadmap for merchandising systems.
Lead Enterprise Systems:
Oversee design, deployment, and optimization of planning, assortment, and product lifecycle management platforms.
Enable Omnichannel Integration:
Ensure seamless systems connectivity across stores, online, and supply chain channels.
Drive Transformation:
Lead enterprise-level system upgrades, migrations, and technology transformations.
Empower Data-Driven Decisions:
Build analytics and reporting capabilities to provide actionable insights for merchandising teams.
Ensure Compliance & Security:
Maintain systems that meet security, regulatory, and governance standards.
Deliver Engineering Excellence:
Lead high-performing teams to build scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions.
Manage Vendors & Partners:
Drive relationships with technology vendors and integrators to maximize value and innovation.
Collaborate Across Functions:
Partner with Merchandising, Product, Supply Chain, and Retail Operations to ensure technology meets business needs.
Develop Talent:
Build and mentor a top-tier engineering team specializing in product and merchandising technology.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
10+ years of experience in technology engineering, with 5+ years in leadership roles in retail or consumer-focused organizations.
Deep expertise in merchandising, planning, and product lifecycle systems.
Proven experience leading enterprise-level technology transformations.
Critical business acumen with strong partnership alongside all stakeholders.
Strong cross-functional collaboration, vendor management, and team leadership skills.
