AI Architect (Director Level) – Remote (US) Lead AI Strategy at Novanta Novanta is seeking an experienced

AI Architect

to shape and lead our enterprise AI strategy. Reporting to the CIO, you’ll be responsible for identifying high‑value AI opportunities, guiding technical execution, and ensuring solutions deliver measurable business impact across our global organization.

What you will do:

Translate business goals into scalable AI use cases and success metrics

Evaluate emerging AI technologies and foundation models for enterprise fit

Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and IT teams to build and deploy AI solutions

Ensure data availability, privacy, and compliance across AI initiatives

Design and oversee training, testing, and monitoring plans for AI models

Maintain visibility into AI lifecycle, performance, and governance

Advise on infrastructure needs for model development and deployment

Stay ahead of regulatory, ethical, and risk considerations in AI adoption

What you will bring:

5+ years in IT solution development, including 2+ years in AI/ML and 2+ in data architecture or analytics

Proven experience designing and deploying AI solutions in complex environments

Strong understanding of model selection, data pipelines, and performance monitoring

Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Experience working with cross‑functional teams and external partners

Familiarity with AI governance, compliance, and modernization of legacy systems

Benefits:

The salary for this role will range from $160,400 to $256,600 annually based on full‑time employment. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to location, relevant skills, training, experience, education, etc.

Certain roles may be eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation and/or long‑term incentives. Incentives could be discretionary or non‑discretionary depending on the plan.
