Our client is seeking a PMO Engagement Manager to oversee strategic programs and guide project managers and PMO-related roles within a mature PMO environment.
This is a full-time opportunity that is hybrid to downtown Chicago. Responsibilities:
Oversee multiple PMO-related roles to ensure alignment with organizational goals and strategic objectives.
Collect, analyze, and present performance metrics for PMs and PMO-related roles to drive continuous improvement.
Monitor and report on program-level KPIs, risks, and milestones to senior leadership.
Provide coaching and mentorship to Project Managers and PMO-related roles to improve delivery performance and stakeholder engagement.
Gather requirements for hiring needs across programs and projects, ensuring alignment with delivery goals.
Define sourcing and vetting strategies and oversee onboarding processes for new consultants to ensure readiness and integration.
Support resource planning and allocation across projects within the program.
Track and maintain program governance structures and ensure compliance with PMO standards.
Lead program reviews and retrospectives to capture lessons learned and best practices.
Champion the use of project management tools and methodologies across the PMO.
Qualifications:
5 years of experience as a Program Manager within an established PMO, with 7–10 years of overall professional experience.
Strong understanding of project and program management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile, Waterfall).
Proven ability to coach and mentor project managers and business analysts.
Experience collecting and analyzing performance metrics to inform decision-making and improve delivery.
