Job Description
PeaceHealth is seeking a Surgery Scheduler - Cardiology for a part‑time, 0.50 FTE day position in Anacortes.
Salary range: $24.99 – $33.73.
Job Summary Responsible for assisting physician offices in scheduling surgical procedures while providing required information to the Surgical Services division, PFS, Anesthesiology and other departments.
Responsibilities
Complete the scheduling process by coordinating the surgery department and physician office needs.
Communicate with physician offices to assure scheduling system accuracy and document block release times.
Schedule surgery visits and arrange cases to maximize schedule effectiveness.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
College coursework in Medical Terminology or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years related experience in a healthcare setting or progressive secretarial experience in healthcare.
Preferred experience in a surgical ambulatory care or acute care setting and/or a scheduling position.
Preferred experience with CareCast/Flow Cast.
Skills
Self‑motivated and able to work independently. (Required)
Strong customer service skills. (Required)
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications; experience with scheduling programs. (Preferred)
Detail oriented and good problem‑solving skills. (Required)
Working Conditions
Consistently operates computer and other office equipment.
Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or negligible force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Sedentary work; predominantly office environment.
Requires close visual acuity for data analysis, transcription, and computer use.
