Responsibilities

Operate all equipment.

Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.

Prepare product.

Receive and process telephone orders.

Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.

Clean equipment and maintain a clean work environment daily.

Training: Orientation and on‑the‑job training will be provided.

Communication

Comprehend and give written instructions.

Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.

Essential Functions & Skills

Accurate, rapid math: add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Calculator may be used.

Make correct monetary change.

Verbal, written, and telephone skills required for order processing.

Motor coordination between eye and hand/fingers for quick, precise movements.

Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

Work Conditions

Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather when removing trash or performing outside tasks.

In‑store temperature ranges from 36°F in cooler sections to 90°F or higher in some areas.

Encounters with food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters (e.g., walk‑in cooler), hot surfaces/tools (e.g., ovens up to 500°F), sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.

Typical hearing and vision demands for phone work, near and mid‑range vision for most tasks, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate hot and cold surfaces.

Physical Demands

Standing for most tasks; walking on tile/linoleum surfaces.

Walking in short distances; occasional prolonged walking.

Sitting and paperwork typically completed in an office environment.

Lifting: bulk product deliveries up to 50 pounds with dimensions up to 3×1.5¯.

Carrying: small items (e.g., 3 lb, 7 oz) from stations to storage; occasional items up to 30 lb from storage to front of store.

Pushing/Pulling: moving trays on dollies (24×30¯), requiring forces up to 7.5 pounds.

Climbing: occasional navigation of stairs or ladders for maintenance tasks.

Bending: forward bending at the pizza assembly station and front counter (~30–45 seconds at a time).

Crouching/ Squatting: occasionally when stocking shelves or cleaning low areas.

Reaching: above 72¯ to turn on/off ovens or adjust signage; reaching down for tasks such as scooping cornmeal or washing dishes.

Hand tasks: continuous eye‑hand coordination; frequent use of forearms, wrists, and fingers for dough shaping, pizza peel handling, and cutting.

Additional Information Employees with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record may be eligible for driving-related duties. Must have access to an insured vehicle.
