Join us as a Lead Software Engineer, DevOps on the Intelligent Foundations & Experiences (IFX) team at Capital One. In this role you will build and pioneer solutions that marry data with emerging technologies, driving transformational change for our customers and associates.

What You’ll Do
Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and manage a team of developers experienced in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full‑stack systems to create solutions that meet regulatory needs.
Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring other engineers.
Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud‑based solutions that drive powerful experiences for millions of Americans.
Utilize programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Ruby, and Go, as well as container orchestration services (Docker, Kubernetes), configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform), and AWS services.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
At least 4 years of DevOps Engineering experience (internship experience does not qualify).
At least 3 years of experience with cloud‑native technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
At least 4 years of Unix/Linux system administration experience.
Preferred Qualifications
7+ years of DevOps Engineering experience.
4+ years of coding and scripting experience (Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Golang, Bash, Perl, or Ruby).
4+ years of experience with build and deployment tools (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
2+ years of experience with distributed database systems (Cassandra, Elasticsearch).
2+ years of experience deploying clustered web services.
2+ years working within Agile development practices.
2+ years of Machine Learning Operations experience.

Salary ranges vary by location (e.g., New York, NY: $211,000–$240,800). The role may be eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation.
