Job Overview
The Financial Aid Officer assists the Corporate and Campus Director of Financial Aid with all aspects of financial aid, ensuring that all student financial aid packages are processed and awarded in compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations and policies.
Essential Functions
Assists students in completing the FASFA and applying for financial aid
Provides the cost of attendance and explains funding options to students
Ensures that all required documentation is provided by the student
Assists the Director of Financial Aid in awarding aid, the verification process, and loan certification
Assists students with applying for private student loans
Assists in continuous improvement and advancement of financial aid processes
Assists with entrance and exit counseling for financial aid applicants and recipients
Maintains an advanced knowledge of regulatory guidelines
Ensures excellent customer service at all times
Work Experience Requirements Minimum of Three (3) years in financial aid or relevant experience.
Education Requirements Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Skill Requirements Administration, management, customer service, interpersonal skills, computer proficiency.
