Job Overview
Our organization is seeking a Neuropsychologist or Postdoctoral Fellow to join our clinical team. This role includes conducting neuropsychological evaluations, providing evidence-based interventions, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team. Postdoctoral Fellows will have a structured pathway to transition into a full-time Neuropsychologist role upon completion of training, with access to clinical and research mentorship. Key Responsibilities
Clinical Assessment & Diagnosis
Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for patients with neurological, psychiatric, or developmental conditions. Administer and interpret tests assessing cognition, memory, attention, executive functioning, and emotional well‑being.
Therapeutic Interventions
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results. Provide evidence‑based interventions to support patients and their families. Work collaboratively with physicians, psychologists, therapists, and other providers. Provide consultation to medical and clinical teams regarding care plans and treatment strategies.
Patient & Family Education
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and coping strategies. Offer resources and guidance to support patient engagement and care adherence.
Research & Training (Optional)
Participate in research projects or initiate new clinical initiatives. Provide training or educational sessions to staff on neuropsychological concepts.
Additional Responsibilities for Postdoctoral Fellows
Supervised Clinical Work: Conduct assessments and interventions under licensed supervision. Professional Development: Participate in seminars, case conferences, and structured supervision. Board Certification Preparation: Develop competencies consistent with ABPP‑CN pathways.
Qualifications
Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology or Neuropsychology (accredited program). Completion of an APA‑approved internship with a neuropsychology focus. Postdoctoral training in neuropsychology preferred (in progress acceptable for fellows). Eligibility for Clinical Psychologist licensure in Illinois. Experience with pediatric, adult, and/or geriatric populations. Interest in pursuing ABPP‑CN board certification (required for fellows). Strong analytical, diagnostic, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency with neuropsychological testing tools and best practices. Skills & Attributes
