General Manager (Restaurant Franchise)
May River Recruiting is partnering with a well‑known restaurant franchise seeking a highly motivated General Manager to oversee restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Duties
Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, and service.
Manage inventory control and ensure proper stock levels are maintained.
Train, develop, and supervise staff to ensure high performance in customer service and food handling.
Implement effective shift management practices to maintain smooth operations during peak hours.
Conduct interviews and hire new team members to build a strong workforce.
Monitor food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Develop budgets and manage financial performance to achieve operational goals.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff.
Engage with customers to gather feedback and enhance their dining experience.
Skills
Proven experience in restaurant management or similar roles within the food service industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary experience, and kitchen management practices.
Familiarity with inventory control processes and budgeting in a restaurant setting.
Experience with training & development programs for staff enhancement.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems.
Background in fine dining or casual dining environments is preferred.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food production and safety protocols.
