Branch Manager II – Waltham, MA BrightBridge Credit Union

Base pay range: $78,000.00/yr – $90,000.00/yr

We’re looking for a bilingual Branch Manager to lead and oversee the daily sales and operational functions of a high-volume branch (six or more full‑time employees), including depository services, home equity closings, and facilities management. You’ll ensure consistent adherence to Credit Union policies and procedures while identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and drive results.

What You’ll Be Doing (Responsibilities)

Function as management authority in the Branch in regards to sales, operations, depository, and certain lending issues; guide and advise staff and members regarding complex member issues; ensure proper communication between departments.

Responsible for hiring, training, coaching, evaluating, developing, promoting, compensating, and disciplining subordinates within current policies and procedures through HR and within approved budget guidelines.

Lead and manage sales activities, programs, processes, and tactics across the branch organization and local marketplace focused on retaining and deepening member relationships and attracting new members and business to the CU.

Lead and manage sales process expectations through weekly observations to support one‑on‑one coaching with employees to measure and evaluate against performance; conduct performance management per agreed standards when goals are not met.

Manage all aspects of ATM services at Branches including maintenance, security and daily servicing.

Establish and maintain the Branch Budget as approved by the VP Retail Banking & Operations; suggest operational efficiencies.

Assist in developing policies and ensuring standard operating procedures are written, communicated and followed; authorize exceptions to accepted operational policies and procedures within established guidelines.

Act as Membership Officer, as approved by the Board of Directors.

Conduct dialogue and feedback with all department managers regarding member service issues and concerns; work across business lines to enhance member experiences and generate incremental revenue.

Assist members with problem resolution, complex deposit/lending issues in a prompt, effective and professional manner.

Determine proper control and individual accountability of cash handling procedures.

Adhere to all aspects of the Credit Union Bank Secrecy Act policy and procedures.

Motivate staff and create an exceptional experience by encouraging maximum potential and morale through rewards and recognition tied to a fun‑spirited, team‑oriented environment.

Support the sales/service culture through monthly meetings, one‑on‑one goal measurement/alignment meetings with staff and communication on department and company goals.

Perform additional duties as requested.

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

Related Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

Minimum of four years branch operations experience within a financial institution.

Minimum of two years management/supervisory experience preferred.

Proven written and verbal communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.

Strong interpersonal skills, initiative, and effective management of daily branch operations.

Familiarity with all applicable regulatory issues and compliance.

PC skills including MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

On‑call 24/7 for all branch security calls by contracted vendors, local police, and fire departments.

Provide Medallion and/or notary service for membership within 90 days of hire.

Eligible to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) and maintain registration as a registered Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).
