Canadian Adventure Charters Inc. (CAC) is seeking an accomplished and visionaryChief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy and operational expansion of our corporation. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CFO will play a pivotal role in shaping CAC’s strategic direction, overseeing financial operations, investor relations, and driving business development.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in world-class expedition and adventure charters, luxury yachting, scientific research, and large-scale marine operations. This role requires a dynamic leader capable of structuring CAC as apublicly traded corporation while driving profitability and international expansion.
The CFO will spearhead the development ofa state-of-the-art research explorer expedition platform , athrill-seeking adventure charter experience for Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individuals (UHNWI) , and anonline brand, booking platform, and shopping center . Additionally, they will play a key role in promotingNewfoundland & Labrador, the Northwest Passage, Pacific Northwest, Alaska, Canada’s Arctic regions, Greenland, Iceland, and other international destinations as premier luxury yachting destinations, supportingexpedition tourism, submersible dive expeditions, treasure and shipwreck recovery, underwater documentary production, and climate change research .

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Financial Oversight
- Define and execute CAC’sfinancial and strategic vision in alignment with corporate objectives.
- Develop and managefinancial models and portfolios ranging from $500M to $10B .
- Ensurefiscal sustainability , implementinglong-term profit expansion initiatives .
- Leadfinancial planning, forecasting, risk management, and investor relations .
- Structure CAC for public trading and establishpartnerships with Fortune 500 companies .
- Drive the execution of CAC’smission, vision, and financial expansion .
Business Development & Operations Management
- Developworld-class expedition, adventure, and marine operations , includingprivate superyachts, scientific research vessels, and treasure recovery missions .
- Establish CAC as a leader inluxury charter destinations, marine tourism, and deep-sea exploration .
- Oversee the design and construction ofmega-resort developments , includingresearch centers, aquariums, theme restaurants, resort hotels, and marinas .
- Manage relationships withgovernment agencies, investors, financial institutions, and insurers .
- Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies such asTransport Canada, DNV, Parks Canada, DFO, and First Nation & Innu Nation Governments .
- Develop and implementcorporate governance policies andstrategic planning initiatives .
- Ensure compliance withlegal, ethical, and financial regulations while maintaining transparency.
- Leadmergers, acquisitions, and corporate integrations to drive expansion and profitability.
- Prepare and presentfinancial reports, forecasts, and investment strategies to the Board.
Stakeholder Relations & Community Engagement
- Cultivate relationships withUHNWI clients, luxury charter companies, brokers, government entities, and global research institutions .
- Advocate for CAC’s presence inexpedition-based tourism, scientific research, and environmental initiatives .
- Develop strategic partnerships withprivate and public entities to support CAC’s vision.
- Supportcorporate social responsibility efforts andemergency preparedness planning .
- Foster ahigh-performance corporate culture through effective leadership, coaching, and mentorship.
- Recruit, train, and manage ahighly skilled workforce in alignment with CAC’s growth objectives.
- Establishremuneration policies and performance-based incentives .
- Fluent inEnglish , with proficiency inat least three of the following languages:French, German, Polish, Spanish, Mandarin, Norwegian, Arabic, Russian .
- Exceptional business writing and communication skills forinvestor relations, branding, and stakeholder engagement .
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- University degree in a related field such asBusiness, Finance, Economics, or Accounting (CGA designation preferred).
- Must be a Canadian resident .
Experience:
- Minimum 15 years insenior financial leadership , with expertise inmarine industry startups, luxury yachting, offshore expeditions, and scientific research .
- Proven track record inmanaging Fortune 100 and 500 company portfolios and investor relations .
- Extensive experience infinancial restructuring for private investors and public markets .
- Expertise inmega-port resort development, marine infrastructure, and financial structuring .
- Strong background inadventure tourism, deep-sea submersibles, and the film entertainment industry .
- Experience working withpublicly traded CEOs, institutional investors, and government stakeholders .
Working Conditions
Physical & Environmental Demands:
- Extensive travel required, including time spent aboardice-class expedition vessels, private jets, helicopters, and support vessels .
- Must be comfortable working inextreme conditions, including open seas, Arctic environments, and remote expedition sites .
- Exposure towildlife, challenging terrain, and unpredictable weather conditions .
Mental & Sensory Demands:
- Requiresexceptional time management, problem-solving, and stress resilience .
- Ability to work underhigh-pressure deadlines with multiple priorities.
- Mustnot be prone toseasickness or airsickness .
