This facility offers a state-of-the-art single-family room NICU environment, ensuring an innovative and collaborative atmosphere committed to excellence in neonatal care. We are seeking a compassionate, Board Certified/Board Eligible Neonatologist to provide 24/7 in-house coverage and deliver exceptional care.
Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional neonatal intensive care in a 40-bed Level III NICU.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team of Neonatologists for continuous 24/7 in-house coverage.
- Utilize advanced therapies such as HFOV, HFJV, inhaled nitric oxide, and therapeutic hypothermia.
- Work alongside on-site pediatric surgery and cardiology specialists for comprehensive care.
- Coordinate with a nurse-led neonatal transport team for patient transfers and emergencies.
- Deliver care in a family-centered single-family room NICU model.
- Focus exclusively on NICU patients, with no requirement to cover the newborn nursery.
- Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and clinical research.
- Contribute to a team culture that values innovation, education, and compassionate family support.
- Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
- Board Certified in Pediatrics.
- Virginia medical license or willingness to obtain.
- Clean malpractice and license history (highly preferred).
- Medical license to practice in Virginia (or willingness to obtain).
- Board Certified (BC) in Pediatrics.
- Board Eligible (BE) or Board Certified (BC) in Neonatology.
