Key job responsibilities
Support cross‑functional teams in factory design projects
Use simulation modeling tools to analyze manufacturing systems
Create discrete event simulations for factory validation
Learn and apply basic Lean/Six Sigma concepts to improve processes
Maintain material flow documentation for production environments
Support the maintenance of factory simulation models
Collaborate with various teams to understand factory operations
Prepare technical documentation
Follow established engineering practices and maintain proper documentation
Basic Qualifications
Experience using advanced simulation modeling tools (Flexsim, Arena, Simio, etc.)
Experience in complex work environments, including (but not limited to robotics, automation, diagnostic and test equipment)
Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams
Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
Experience working in a factory environment or on production lines
Experience writing technical documents, project plans and progress reports to leadership and to stakeholders
Experience with full lifecycle development of manufacturing systems
Demonstrated ability to translate simulation insights into practical implementation plans
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
Experience using data visualization tools
Experience with the project management of technical projects
Experience in material handling systems (MHS) installation, operation and maintenance
Experience with digital twin technology for factory simulation
Experience integrating robotics and automation into manufacturing processes
Experience with data analysis for manufacturing optimization
Experience launching new manufacturing facilities or production lines

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
