Phlebotomist I – Pleasanton, CA
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotational weekends.
Pay range: $23.55 – $28.05 per hour. Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, certifications, and market and organizational factors. Successful candidates may be eligible for an annual performance bonus.

Responsibilities
Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening and insurance exams.
Administer oral solutions according to training.
Research test/client information and confirm and verify all written and electronic orders using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
Obtain identification, accurately enter billing information, and collect payments when required, following corporate policies.
Process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport as required by test order.
Perform all non‑patient‑facing duties, including inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones and utilizing email as appropriate.
Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required.
Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs in a timely manner, including maintenance logs and temperature logs.
Complete online and in‑person training courses promptly.
Qualifications
Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: medical assistant or paramedic training.
Preferred: phlebotomy certification, required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience
Preferred: one year phlebotomy experience.
Preferred: customer service experience in a retail or service environment.
Keyboard/data entry experience.
The position requires the ability to effectively communicate in English.
