Role: Junior Associate – U.S. Restaurants We are seeking a Junior Associate to join a seasoned Portfolio Manager focused on U.S. Restaurants. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with a PM who has been successfully running capital for three years and is making his first hire. The PM has historically preferred to operate independently, so this search is highly selective – he will only move forward for the right person. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a passion for investing, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. Beyond technical ability, cultural fit is paramount: we’re looking for someone who is personable, collaborative, and brings a sense of humor to the table. Key Responsibilities: Conduct deep fundamental research on U.S. restaurant companies, including financial modeling, valuation, and industry analysis. Support the PM in idea generation, portfolio construction, and risk management. Prepare investment memos and presentations for internal discussions. Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, and macroeconomic factors impacting the sector. Qualifications: Experience: 2 years in investment banking and 2 years in private equity (or similar high-caliber experience). Education: Strong academic pedigree from a top-tier institution. Exceptional analytical and modeling skills with a demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
