A high-growth real estate investment and property management firm is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its expanding team. Reporting directly to the Fund Controller, the Accounting Manager will oversee fund-level accounting, consolidated financial reporting, and technical accounting in alignment with U.S. GAAP, investor requirements, and lender expectations. In addition, this role will mentor and develop a growing accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, professional growth, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced, high-performing organization. Base pay range $120,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr Additional compensation types Annual Bonus Responsibilities Lead and support the completion of annual audits, ensuring timely delivery of required materials. Maintain full compliance with U.S. GAAP and all applicable regulatory standards. Prepare, review, and approve monthly adjusting and accrual entries in alignment with GAAP requirements. Produce and review monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for internal stakeholders and external partners. Develop, review, and validate fee schedules across multiple funds according to management agreements. Prepare and review lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842. Record, monitor, and reconcile investments in joint ventures and associates under GAAP guidelines. Ensure adherence to fund- and client-level partnership agreements, including investor side letters. Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team of accountants. Partner with auditors throughout the year-end audit process, providing necessary documentation and support. Maintain strong internal controls related to financial reporting, compliance, and operational workflows. Perform additional accounting and reporting tasks as needed in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required. 5+ years of relevant accounting experience. Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting processes, and internal control frameworks. Prior experience in real estate accounting, particularly property‑ or fund‑level, strongly preferred. Ability to analyze and manage large volumes of transactional and financial data. Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading or supervising accounting teams. Proven accuracy, attention to detail, and consistent delivery of timely work. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Advanced Excel proficiency; experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or Yardi preferred. Adaptability and comfort working in a rapidly changing, high‑growth environment. Strong problem‑solving abilities and a proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset.
