Position Summary
The Senior Executive Recruiting Consultant will serve as a senior member of the Recruiting Team through the executive search process for senior level administration and faculty positions. Discretion and judgment will be crucial in this role as a key contributor and model for the team. As a senior member of the UGA Search Group, the role will assist in coaching, mentoring, and training members of the Recruiting Team and will share best practices in support of the executive search process.
The Senior Executive Recruiting Consultant is a skilled communicator at the highest levels of executive talent acquisition. By leading and maintaining a sound strategic outreach effort which will include utilizing influential communication, research, and marketing in the executive search process, this role will work to attract innovative leaders to fill key-contributor positions. These top talent hires will have a major impact on the University.
The Senior Executive Recruiting Consultant serves as a key member of the Recruiting Team and is responsible for producing an effective and respectable search process with special regard to producing high quality candidate pools in the executive search process. The Senior Executive Recruiting Consultant will work on multiple searches at any given time and demonstrate independent initiative and resourcefulness in leading strategic recruitment efforts of prospective candidates. This position will also serve as a liaison for the group with frequent interactions with senior level administrative leaders, senior staff, hiring authorities, search committee members, faculty, staff and students in the facilitation of search events. This role will contribute to the development and execution of a strategic vision focused on continuous improvement and creative ways to leverage the team’s expertise in support of our state’s flagship institution.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
At least 2 years of recruiting or sales experience in a high call volume environment.
At least 2 years of experience in a higher education institution.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Ability to deliver work on time, and to work effectively on an independent basis exercising discretion, judgment, and critical thinking.
Strong attention to detail and a deep commitment to quality in all aspects of work.
Excellent organizational skills.
Communicate effectively at all levels of a large, complex organization in both written and oral forms through phone, email, and personal interactions.
Ability to provide a high level of customer service in an academic environment, project a positive attitude, and display professionally mature behavior in challenging situations.
Work with confidential and sensitive information utilizing high levels of discretion.

Proficient ability in MS Word document creation, familiarity with MS Excel spreadsheets, email, and management report creation as needed.
The ability to coach, train, and mentor team members on best practices in the executive search process.
Responsibilities
Research and identify qualified candidates through peer and aspirational institutions, position‑specific associations, nominations, and subject matter experts.
Continuous outreach to top prospective talent through email, phone calls, and other strategic communications.
Develop and oversee the development of messaging documents and other marketing materials related to candidate outreach from the Recruiting Team.
Oversee, update, and maintain the Recruitment Templates Folder to ensure that messages are kept up to date with current information and that all team members are kept abreast of any changes.
Develop recruitment reporting for the UGA Search Group Director and Assistant Director as requested.
Meet and interact with senior level faculty and administration throughout the search process to ensure strategy and goal alignment, provide recruitment information, and help facilitate search committee and interview meetings.
Develop and maintain relationships with the hiring authorities, search chairs, and search committee members to communicate timely search information (when appropriate) with regard to recruitment efforts and other relevant details.
Coach, mentor, and train members of the Recruiting Team to share best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in executive search, and help in the professional development of other team members.
Escort candidates on campus and perform other duties in support of a successful search process.
Provide professional consultation to university employees, supervisors, and management on executive search and related human resources issues, distinguished by the complexity and scope of issues, leadership, organization/project management, initiative, independence, discretion, technical expertise, and professional maturity necessary.
Physical Demands
