playsacritical role in supporting themaintenance, reliability,and efficiency ofAlamance Foods' production operations. This position is responsible for performing complex troubleshooting, repairs,and
preventivemaintenanceonawide
range of high-speed foodand beverage manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate is experienced in both mechanicaland electrical systems, capable of working independently or inateam environment,and committed to ensuring maximum uptimeand product quality. Key Responsibilities: Performadvanced troubleshootingand root causeanalysis of electromechanical, hydraulic,
pneumatic,andautomated
systems. Conduct repairs on PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens preferred), VFDs, HMIs, sensors, motors,and electrical control systems. Execute preventiveand
predictivemaintenanceprocedures
on productionand utility equipment. Readand interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints,and equipment manuals to guide repairand troubleshooting. Accurately
documentmaintenanceactivities
in daily logsand CMMS system. Collaborate with operationsand engineering teams to resolve persistent issuesand drive process improvements. Support installation, commissioning,and startup of new equipmentand systems. Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, OSHA,andAlamance Foods safety standards. Identify required replacement partsand maintain spare parts inventory. Provide guidanceand mentoring to
juniormaintenanceteam
members when needed. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 2 years' experience in industrial
electromechanicalmaintenance,
preferably in food/beverage or high-speed packaging environments. Strong knowledge ofAC/DC motors, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics,and mechanical drive systems. Experience with PLC troubleshootingand control systems. Proficiency in reading electrical schematicsand mechanical blueprints. Ability to work independentlyand prioritize tasks inafast-paced production environment. Basic computer literacy. Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree ortechnical certification in
IndustrialMaintenance,
ElectricalTechnology,
Mechatronics, or related field. Familiarity withAllen-Bradley ControlLogix or CompactLogix systems. Experience working with SCADA systemsand industrial instrumentation. Previous foodand beverage manufacturing experience. Work Environmentand Physical Demands: Exposure to wet or humid conditions, extreme cold/heat, moving mechanical parts,andairborne particles. Must beable to liftand/or move up to 50 pounds regularlyand up to 75 pounds occasionally withassistance. Regularly required to stand, walk, kneel, crouch,and reach throughout shift. Noise level ranges from moderate to loud. Compensationand Benefits: Hourly Rate: $25-33/hr (based on shift and level). End-of-Year Bonus eligibility.
