About the role
Owns growth, financial performance, and health for assigned product categories in marketplaces. Increase organic visibility, conversion rate, and profitable sales by using different e‑commerce growth levers, which include, but are not limited to: optimizing PDPs; retail media strategy; brand placement initiatives on and off Amazon; pricing and promotional campaigns to improve offer competitiveness; understanding optimal promotional mix for a given SKU (deals/promotions/BTPs/PEDs/ reference price/sale event participation); shipping setting review and optimization; reviewing and tracking search result ranking and family BSR changes; optimizing family creation; optimizing review strategy including family management and Amazon Vine; reviewing creative, titles, copy, and other related assets; coordinating execution of ranking strategy with full SKU‑level coordination with supply chain and product management initiatives; coordinating with the paid media team; and adjusting strategy as the competitive landscape shifts and as marketplace tools evolve. In short, help Sunco grow marketplace sales (units and dollars), grow profits, and be the dominant player in these channels.
What you'll do
• Category plan: Build and maintain clear quarterly and annual goals for revenue, gross profit, contribution margin, and TACoS/ROAS. Help set clear understanding, at the SKU level, of how Sunco will optimize for maximum market share and volume while still ensuring we have profitable margins.
• PDP excellence: Manage Optimization of titles, product descriptions, A+ Content, Brand Store, images/videos, variant architecture; enforce compliance of Sunco strategy and policies; give feedback on our policies/process so we can operate with excellence at scale. Ensure consistency of brand voice. Optimize CTR.
• Search & SEO: Drive keyword research, rank tracking, backend terms, and browse node/attribute hygiene; monitor organic share of voice. Partner with Sunco teams so these manual and time‑consuming processes become maximally efficient and effective through improved processes, thoughtful usage of technology (including AI), and team training.
• Retail media: Partner with our Advertising team to plan, launch, and optimize Sunco holistic performance using levers including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, AMC or DSP where applicable. Ensure execution of SKU‑level company strategy across all vectors are in sync, including pricing, promotions, ads, fulfillment, supply chain, product management, and PDP optimization.
• Holistic ranking: Partner with the Channel Marketing Manager to test and optimize within our practice. Examples include but are not limited to ranking experiments, promotion tests, pricing experiments, Account Health management, review management, family management, listing health management, and suppression risk.
• Competitor & category intel: Track competitor pricing, creatives, review/ratings velocity, and catalog gaps; translate insights into tests, briefs, action items for other teams, and monthly/annual reports.
• Listing health & catalog ops: Resolve suppressions/flags, reconcile catalog issues, recommend and manage variation families, and reduce content defect rate.
• Ratings & reviews: Grow review velocity and rating using compliant tactics (post‑purchase experiences, Vine, and a Request‑a‑Review cadence, other tools).
• Product & Supply Chain alignment: Coordinate on stock strategy, FBA IPI drivers, and OOS risk protecting rank and ad efficiency. Coordinate on product revision and cutover strategy and help execute with excellence when managing change.
• Reporting & communication: Deliver monthly scorecards and quarterly business reviews covering KPIs, experiments, wins/learns, risks, and next bets; partner closely with all teams to ensure operational excellence. Understand how strategic policy is built and managed across multiple teams and ensure that those policies work effectively at scale.
• Skills: Look for opportunities to raise the bar by improving our usage of data, technology, and AI to transform our operating model.
Qualifications
• Experience: 3+ years in marketplace performance, growth, or merchandising; 2+ years hands‑on with marketplace and products.
• Tools: Seller Central, Brand Registry, Brand Analytics; keyword/ranking tools; ad tech platforms (Amazon Ads console, 3rd party platforms); data analysis and BI tools (advanced Excel, SQL, Power BI, Redshift, and more).
• Results: Proven wins in PDP optimization, ranking, and retail media that directly translate to sustained and improved ranking, revenue, and profit.
• Analytics: Fluency with analytics using source data such as Business Reports, Brand Analytics, Search Term reports, query funnels, Product Opportunity Explorer, SKU economics, and BSR and rank tracking; comfort with A/B, multivariate, or timeseries testing in a manner appropriate for SMB and midmarket companies.
• Data skills: Strong spreadsheet/BI skills; can turn messy data into decisions and action plans. Lifelong learner inside and outside of work hours.

Compensation: $75,000-$90,000 per year
