Summary

Warehouse Associate is a key component to our warehouse operation’s efficiency and inventory management. The role involves verifying internal transfer orders and outbound shipments, receiving inbound loads, processing warehouse picks, and assisting with inventory discrepancies. The candidate must be a team player, able to stand for a full 8‑hour shift, focus on critical measurements, and communicate across departments to maintain accurate inventories.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure warehouse organization and layout compliance.
  • Maintain a clean warehouse, ensuring trash removal, recycling, and floor sweeping before Monday morning.
  • Manage scrap materials (sell, donate, discard).
  • Set parts/materials minimum/reorder levels and ensure supply availability.
  • Coordinate with Project Manager to forecast, plan and move inventory for projects and service calls.
  • Pick products for upcoming projects/service calls and coordinate shipping through inventory workflow.
  • Handle RMA merchandise shipping to vendors.
  • Communicate inventory status for upcoming jobs to staff, suppliers, and transport companies.
  • Contact vendors for shipment status and tracking information.
  • Set up LTL and common carrier shipments to vendors, clients, and other branches.
  • Assist PM/Sales with inventory purchasing/returning/change orders.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma.
  • Candidate must reside in/around Kensington, MD.
  • Professional appearance with excellent phone etiquette.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Team mentality while working independently.
  • Quick learner of ERP system for inventory management.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 70 lbs without assistance.
  • Availability to work on Saturdays occasionally.
