About the Department

The sales team – Account Executives, Channel Account Managers, Business Development Representatives, Solution Engineers, Customer Success, and Sales Operations – collaborates to help customers adopt Cloudflare products and drive revenue.

About the Role

Digital Native AEs sell to high‑growth, tech‑advanced, venture‑backed companies in North America. This role focuses on acquiring new Digital Native accounts and expanding existing customers, leveraging a blend of sales and technical expertise across Security, Network, Development, and Infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and maintain a territory plan to exceed quarterly sales targets and annual quota.
  • Operate three sales motions: new business acquisition, customer expansion, and renewal.
  • Build a robust sales pipeline using outbound, BDR, Channel, and Marketing Inbound funnels.
  • Leverage deep technical knowledge to drive a consultative sales motion.
  • Craft and communicate compelling value propositions; drive awareness through outbound campaigns.
  • Accurately forecast and build commercial outcomes through consistent sales processes, contract negotiations, and next‑step expectations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, building long‑term relationships, evaluating usage trends, and articulating value during business reviews.
  • Network across business units, identify new divisional buyers, and multi‑thread engagement.
  • Position Cloudflare’s platform, including Cloudflare One and the Connectivity Cloud, to fully realize customer potential.
  • Act as internal liaison with cross‑functional teams to share customer feedback and insights.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience.
  • Strong discovery and B2B sales skills.
  • Industry trend insight with a client‑centric narrative.
  • Track record of exceeding annual targets of $1M+ and managing complex six‑figure deals.
  • Experience multithreading into the C‑suite and across an organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Proficient in SFDC, Tableau, G‑suite, MSFT suite.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
