Educational Interpreter - American Sign Language (ASL)

Open for part-time work within Antioch Unified School District (AUSD). The position is available for one week and you are among the first 25 applicants.

Work Hours/Year: 6 hours/10 months (180 days – school days only)
Salary Range (Step Level): Step A $30.37, Step B $31.91, Step C $33.53, Step D $35.23, Step E $37.01, Step F $38.88

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certified with Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or equivalent.
• Certification in Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) or federal requirement satisfaction.
• Degree or completion of 48 semester units from an accredited college or university, or district assessment/county certificate showing compliance with ESSA.

Selection Process:

Applicants will first undergo a pass/no pass evaluation of their application packet. The information provided on the general and supplemental applications will be used to evaluate overall qualifications. Based on the results of the pass/fail evaluation, candidates will be invited to participate in an oral panel interview examination. The oral exam (weighted 100%) will be conducted on a date to be determined. Final selection will be made from those who achieve the three highest ranking scores.
